The Transition Moonshot · Public promise · v1.0 · October 8, 2026

The Glass House Charter

How the Transition Moonshot will be run, written down before a single dollar comes in, so anyone can hold us to it.

Too many causes have been used to enrich the people running them. We are building this to protect the people on the ground floor, so it cannot be allowed to take from them.

Every promise below is meant to be checked. Bring the strongest magnifying glass you own.

  1. 01

    I take no salary.

I will never be paid by the Transition Moonshot. My living comes from my own businesses, so no one can say I built this to pay myself.

  2. 02

    Pay stays modest, by rule.

Anyone the Moonshot ever pays, at any level, is capped at an ordinary middle-class wage. No luxury cars, no first-class travel, no gala budgets.

  3. 03

    Every dollar is public.

Every dollar in and every dollar out is posted for anyone to see, every month. We will choose a nonprofit sponsor whose books are public by design.

  4. 04

No money before a proper home.

We will not accept a single donation until the Moonshot sits under an established nonprofit sponsor that handles charity registration and tax rules.

  5. 05

    No deals with insiders.

No family on the payroll. No contracts with my companies or friends' companies. Every vendor competes for the work. Everyone involved signs a conflict-of-interest policy.

  6. 06

The Moonshot never sells my products.

Donations will never steer anyone to any business I own. The mission and my businesses stay completely separate.

  7. 07

    The prize money is locked.

Prize funds sit in escrow or an insurance policy. They never pay for operations, and they go only to a verified winner.

  8. 08

    Outside eyes, every year.

Independent people outnumber me on any board, and an independent review of the books is published every year, good news or bad.

  9. 09

We count people, not press releases.

The scoreboard is how many people kept their income and landed new work, and how many businesses kept their people. We publish it, including the misses.

  10. 10

    Mistakes get published, fast.

When we get something wrong, we say so publicly, fix it, and show what changed.

  11. 11

    Open to every side.

The ground floor votes both ways. The Moonshot takes no political side and works with anyone who wants to carry people across the gap.

  12. 12

    This charter only gets stronger.

Any change is published with the old wording beside the new. A change can add protections, never quietly remove one.

I would rather be known for carrying people across the gap than for what I carried away.

This charter is a public promise of conduct. The Moonshot accepts no donations today.
